The Truckee Tahoe Airport, a General Aviation airport with over 35,000 operations annually, seeks an
individual for a temporary full-time OPERATIONS/ MAINTENANCE WORKER vacancy to be in effect from
date of hire to September 30, 2013.
A successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic, willingness to cooperate with teammates, the
ability to exercise initiative, and the ability to perform all work safely. Experience in airport operations or
fueling is a plus. The open position places an emphasis on airport operations, Unicom radio and desk
procedures, customer service and sales, aircraft fueling and ramp services, janitorial duties, and airport
security. The position includes cross-training for weather observation, snow removal, facilities and fleet
maintenance, fuel quality procedures, and emergency operations.
Applicants must have a valid drivers' license with no uninsurable convictions. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and
ladders, and work on elevated platforms. Work is performed in all climatic and lighting conditions inside
and outside. Work is often performed in noisy and hazardous conditions near moving equipment and
aircraft. Employees work with and near hazardous materials and fluids. Employees may be required to
lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 60 pounds or more) during the course of the workday.
The position works four ten-hour shifts, days and hours to be determined, includes weekends and
holidays. Wage range $17.61 - $20.26 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Runway 11-29, formerly designated 10-28, is open for business. Load-bearing capacity updates will be reflected in future AF/Ds for flight planning purposes for both runways. Load ratings are as follows: Runway 11-29 S-50, D-80. Runway 01-19 S-35, D-50. PPR available, contact airport management.
Construction updates: As construction season winds down, please check NOTAMs regularly for updates. Runway 01-19 will close for designator change and re-open as Runway 02-20. Segmented circle will be replaced. The "front yard" area of the main ramp has been resurfaced and will be repainted. Thank you for your patience and cooperation, we hope you will enjoy these updates.
World Fuels has facilitated additional laboratory testing by Inspectorate, an independent laboratory in Torrance, CA, regarding fuel delivered to the Truckee Tahoe Airport on July 20, 2012 and sold between July 20, 2012 and August 2, 2012.
