The Truckee Tahoe Airport, a General Aviation airport with over 26,000 operations annually, seeks an individual for a full-time OPERATIONS/MAINTENANCE WORKER vacancy.
A successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic, willingness to cooperate with teammates, the ability to exercise initiative, and the ability to perform all work safely. Experience in airport operations or fueling is a plus. The open position places an emphasis on airport operations, UNICOM radio and desk procedures, computer use, customer service and sales, aircraft fueling and ramp services, janitorial duties, and airport security. The position includes cross-training for weather observation, heavy equipment operation and snow removal, facilities and fleet maintenance, fuel quality procedures, and emergency operations.
Applicants must have a valid drivers license with no uninsurable convictions. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms. Work is performed in all climatic and lighting conditions inside and outside. Work is often performed in noisy and hazardous conditions near moving equipment and aircraft. Employees work with and near hazardous materials and fluids. Employees may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 60 pounds or more) during the course of the workday. The position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical exam, a drug test, and a background check.
The position works four ten-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. The work schedule is subject to change. Wage range $17.79 - $20.46 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
